Tajweed
NUA Academy's Tajweed curriculum is interactive, starting with the phonetic foundations of each rule or letter. Spoken examples aid learners in distinguishing correct from incorrect pronunciation, reinforcing theoretical knowledge. There are four levels of Tajweed courses available.
Level 1
Mastering the Basics
Focus on mastering the Arabic Alphabet, including their sounds and shapes. Students learn to distinguish subtle differences between similar letters and their different forms depending on their position within a word. By the end of this level, students are capable of reading words and sentences fluently from the Quran (Mushaf) independently.
Level 2
Delving into Proper Recitation
Covers the basic rules of Tajweed, ensuring the proper recitation of the Quran. Topics include Noon Saakin, Tanween, Meem Saakin, and some rules of Moodud (extended sounds), Ghunnah (nasal sounds), and Qalqalah (echoing sounds).
Level 3
Unveiling the Complex Rules
Delves deeper into the complex rules of Tajweed, with a focus on essential manners of reciting the Quran. This includes proper beginnings and endings of recitations, mandatory extensions and pauses, and letter-specific rules such as Izhaar and Ikhfa. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between these rules.
Level 4
Application and Mastery
Detailed application of all Tajweed rules on two significant parts of the Quran, covering all verses of Juz' Amma and Juz Tabarak. At this advanced stage, students perfect their recitation, analyze words, and explain Tajweed rules in detail. Additionally, students gain insights into the interconnections between recitation, Surah meanings, and vocabulary.
